Jesse L. Wiens

Jesse L. Wiens is an associate attorney with the Gerash, Toray & Gerash, P.C.. His practice areas include criminal law and personal injury work in Colorado’s state and federal courts.

During law school Mr. Wiens interned for a Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, the legal department at Qwest, volunteered as a clerk for the Honorable Karen Ashby, who presides over Denver’s Juvenile Court and was a clerk for Walter L. Gerash. In addition, Mr. Wiens was a member of the University of Denver Law Review. The paper he submitted for his candidacy to the Law Review was selected among all others for publication. In 2001, his case comment, A&M Records, Inc. v. Napster, Inc.: Copyright Infringement on the Internet, was published as a lead article.

He served as President of the Business Law Society at the University of Denver for the 2000-2001 calendar year, participated in various moot court competitions and competed on behalf of the University of Denver’s ATLA trial team. Mr. Wiens also served as a staff member for the Preventive Law Reporter; and while in law school, won his first case in the Denver District Court, representing an indigent client in the civil litigation clinic at the University of Denver College of Law.
