Qualifying Dates and Tournament Payout Structure
Attention:
The qualifying requirements and payouts for all monthly Tournaments have changed. The cut-off date for getting a qualifying certificate will be one week prior to the event. So if the tournament is on a Sunday, the last day to qualify will be play held on the prior Sunday.

We have also reduced the payout amounts for the monthly Tournaments and spread the prize money down, to payout the top 5 places, instead of the 3 places paid previously.

Check out the Tournament Page for more details.

Tournament Prize Pool Changes
We have been getting a lot of questions about the restructuring of the prize pool. We thought we would take this opportunity to share some of the challenges we have been facing over the past couple of months.

It is probably no surprise to most of you that the cancellation of the Vegas tournament was a significant financial setback for Amateur Poker Tour. We are still recovering from this setback and we have to find a way to move forward while still providing the best FREE poker opportunity in Colorado. Contrary to rumors being spread by misinformed or misguided individuals, we are not going out of business and we are certainly not trying to mislead anyone. We are simply going through a rough time right now and we are doing the best we can to meet your expectations of a quality, FREE poker experience. Most of you understand this and continue to support us and our tour, and for that we give you our heartfelt thanks.

With that said, one of the ways we will move forward in a fashion that makes economic sense is to lower the prize pool for our month-end tournaments. These prize pools will remain exciting and will still provide one of the best, if not the best free poker opportunities available in Colorado. Amateur Poker Tour remains committed to providing the most fun and exciting FREE poker tour in town! Please stay tuned for more announcements on how we are going to enhance your free poker experience!

The Amateur Poker Tour offers ABSOLUTELY FREE tournaments for poker players of all levels the experience and the fun of FREE live action Texas Hold-em poker tournaments. The Amateur Poker Tour provides a fun place for the novice as well as the experienced player to relax, learn, and practice being a better Texas Hold-em poker tournament player.
