THE ECSTATIC CHOIR PROGRAM The Ecstatic Choir has been alive in Boulder, Colorado for 4 years. There are actually 2 choir programs facilitated by Divy Nelson. One in the community (50 strong!) and one as a formal course of study at The Naropa Institute. "The Ecstatic Choir" is dedicated to inviting EVERYONE who would love to sing in a choir to DO SO without hesitation! The atmosphere is fun filled and relaxed as we learn songs from around the world, work on technical voice, learn to sing harmony easily and painlessly and perform in our community whenever possible. A live percussionist is our only accompaniment. Tuition is CHEAP! When joining, one must commit to attending 3 rehearsals per month. THE ECSTATIC VOICE PROGRAM This course is currently offered at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. The Ecstatic Voice Program offers all vocal levels a chance to study voice and sing in a choir! Using "The Six-Point Vocal WAVe Method" we learn to quickly and easily create strong, flexible vocal instruments and to build our voices from the ground up! Exercises, meditations and experience in The Ecstatic Choir allow us to express this new skill with playfulness and deep understanding as we focus on songs from around the world. Saphyre, playing percussion, keeps the energy moving, helping us develop true vocal power and awareness. This class is excellent for beginning, intermediate and advanced singers.
